covid-19 safety

In support of our primary goal within the pandemic, we also desire to live out “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 24:39, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27) to all within the Heritage community–the students, the families, the teachers and aides, and the administrative staff.

Heritage School is committed to providing a safe and positive learning environment for your child.
Heritage School will follow the Chester County Health Department Guidelines for Isolation and Quarantine.
(Negative PCR, Rapid, and at-home Rapid tests are accepted.)
We strongly encourage that if the positive child has a sibling that attends Heritage School they stay home as well regardless of their testing status.

Recently, the CDC has adjusted its metrics for community transmission and guidance for indoor mask-wearing, and Chester County sits in the ‘medium’ level. Therefore, we are pivoting to “Mask Optional” for both students and staff effective Monday, 2/28/2022.

Policies and procedures will be modified as necessary to comply with state regulations.

Just a few of the things we're doing at Heritage School to ensure your child's safety...

●Changes to daily routines to reduce social density in common areas
●Required daily temperature checks for all students and staff
●Increased number of required handwashing breaks and limiting of shared materials whenever possible
●Following all state regulations pertaining to face coverings
●Polypropylene Table Dividers in each classroom to maintain proper social distancing in the safest and least restrictive way possible
●Utilizing outdoor spaces as much as possible (including our certified Nature Explore Classroom)
